Known locally as Am Meallan, Oldshoremore Beach is a spectacular, relatively narrow shallow beach with clean golden sand. A rocky peninsula known as Eilean na h-Aiteig separates this beach from the next beach which is called Polin Beach. There is good parking at the back of the dunes with a narrow footpath to the beach and nearby cliffs. With rocky outcrops and crystal clear aqua blue sea, this beach west facing beach is a stunning and tranquil place to spend some time on at the end of a sunny day in Sutherland.
